China Issues New Guidance on Export of Eco-Friendly Products

In June 2026, China's General Administration of Customs and Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly released the "Guidance on Supporting the Export of Eco-Friendly Packaging Products" (Doc. 112 of 2026), formally including GRS / RCS / BSCI / ISO 14001 certifications in an export facilitation channel. Certified products enjoy "green lane" customs clearance and lower inspection rates.

The guidance introduces three key supports: ①Certified companies are prioritized for AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) list recommendation; ②Products with ≥30% recycled material receive enhanced export tax rebates; ③Industry associations are encouraged to lead the development of group standards for sustainable packaging exports.
